Its a privilege that a client can receive based on progress. The client must ask for permission and file a petition 48 hours before the day that they are requesting to stay over night. The petition must consist of location, name and phone number to be reached. When a petition is turned in does not mean it will be granted. The big book of Alcoholics Anonymous suggests every addict should refrain from a new relationship within the first 12 months of sobriety. Life's Second Chance Recovery will live by that principle and it has proven to be effective if lived by. If the client comes to the program not in a relationship, the client will remain not in a relationship until they are granted permission to do so based on progress. ****House Rules are subject to change at anytime****
The sole purpose of the above rules are to add structure to their lives and help the clients make the change within themselves. Addicts/Alcoholics are non-disciplined, they do what they want and how they want to do things. This is a process that must be used to make change. If you have any questions concerning any of the rules, please take the time to ask. We will help clarify the reasoning behind it.
